You know you are famous when you are warned by a major publication…

PAGE SIX is no more… Celebrity and controversy often come together, and TheVogueCIty.com has been presented today with its first official threat from a large newspaper. The counselors for New York Post sent us a long letter reminding us that they are the oldest newspaper and one of the largest newspaper websites in the country. Really? SRSLY?
Anyway, it looks like we caught their eye. Yes, I am flattered.
According to them, NYP Holdings has used PAGE SIX trademark since 1977 and is not to be used by anybody. Darn! All these years, I’ve used it indiscriminately in school essays and weepy diary entries. If only I’d known then what I know now.
So, the question is: if I write Page Six in Romanian, is that still an infringement of the PAGE SIX trademark?
I don’t want to take any chances here, I’ll circulate a memo in the office to ban the words ‘Page Six’ (and only use the number ‘six’ lightly in any written correspondence). So say goodbye to our short-lived P*** S** gossipy which will be replaced with Page Six ½.
I like it, it has a Fellini ring to it.
