Prices go up and prices go down, but this year they're going every which way. While it's difficult to predict how the economy will impact the cost of products and services, there are several sure bets on both ends of the scale. Here are a few predictions. GOING UP Orange Juice The FDA discovered "low levels" of a fungicide in the 2011 orange crop imported from Brazil, the world's largest produce of oranges. Airfare More people want to fly,...

Through the ages, women have never had a lack of complaints about the inequalities between men and women. Team Blue and Gold is a Winning Combination

Once upon a time in a world of young fashionistas, no one dared wear gold jewelry. Silver was the standard, and at best white gold was all you’d go for. This was complicated. But over the years those young fashionistas learned that ignoring gold was downright rude. Now they embrace gold baubles and hang them from their ears and necks with the same flourish they’ve always possessed.

In my most recent jewelry post I featured lots of gorgeous gold. What I have realized is that gold jewelry looks amazing with a rich blue color. So now that I’ve squared you away with some lovely jewels, it’s time to shop for clothes. There are comfy sweaters, silk dresses, and of course - blue jeans.

I was stuck with the idea of this color combo when I saw a picture of Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley fame) in a blue silk dress with a large gold medallion strung on a chain that hung from her neck.  In the instant I saw the image I was like: perfection!

Remember, click the pictures to be taken to the products. Consider me your personal shopper and personal stylist for the best New York Bargains. Here at TheVogueCity.com we want you happy and styled to maximize your interests and best features.

Starting next week you’ll see a shake-up in the posting format I use. So stay-tuned!
