Click to read more » Through the ages, women have never had a lack of complaints about the inequalities between men and women. Particularly when it comes to romance, dating and age, there's always been a lot to complain about. I wish I could say that I am not about to contribute to that litany of gripes, but oh no, I'm about to jump right in.
So, this whole "Cougar" thing. I wouldn't mind if that term got lost in the Bronx Zoo and was never heard from again. Or was shot...

Spa Week
Remove summer grime, relax and pamper yourself during fall Spa Week, October 12-18th. 8 October 2009
Cheryl Reid, founder of Spa Week and owner of SPA MEDIA LLC, launched the first Spa Week in October 2004 as a way to educate New Yorkers about the benefits of spa services while providing an affordable way to enjoy them. Spa Week gained such industry hype it quickly expanded nationally and caught the attention of major corporate sponsors. (Saab, Allure, etc.) Now Cheryl aims to introduce a new generation of spa goers to wellness benefits they can take part in, at least bi-annually. Maybe it’s for “wellness benefits” or maybe Spa Week is just a genius marketing idea. After all, Reid formerly owned a New York City public relations firm. Either way, Spa Week allows the average Josephine great treatments for just half a hundo - AKA $50. How to book? Fall Spa Week runs October 12-18th - as in next week. Make a list the spa/services you intend to book complete with back ups as services do fill up during Spa Week. Try for days when your schedule is more flexible as you want to maximize the benefits of your relaxing services by pairing them with a relaxing day. Call individual spas to book. Spa Week does not book through their website, but if you sign up on their email list, they do provide spa specials throughout the year. Hi Emma, great info. There are so many spas in NY to choose from, it can be overwhelming if you don’t know where to start.
I’ve spent a lot of time researching all the spas for Spa Week in NYC and have compiled a comprehensive guide at my site: http://www.spaweekguide.com/. You can browse based on categories like: best of massage, chocolate-based treatments, the best values, etc.. all categorized by neighborhood also and integrated with Yelp for review content and ratings. I’ve even got a listing of the spas I could determine were making Spa Week more like Spa Month with extended specials. Hope this helps someone!
