Click to read more » Through the ages, women have never had a lack of complaints about the inequalities between men and women. Particularly when it comes to romance, dating and age, there's always been a lot to complain about. Plastic Surgery Abroad
The ubiquity of options and costs vary, especially when you go global. But are the risks worth the cost difference? 30 November 2009
The cost of plastic surgery is, well, expensive, but that doesn’t stop women from wanting to seek reconstructive, altering and transforming treatments. The ubiquity of options and costs vary, especially when you go global. From Prague to Columbia, other countries offer plastic surgery at a more affordable price. But are the risks worth the difference in cost?
Like any cosmetic plastic surgery, ask around. Ask anyone you know for recommendations, and thoroughly research your physician regarding education, years practicing and client reviews. There are a plethora of websites to gain information into the price differentiation, which can save you anywhere from 30-80% depending on your procedure. Most patients were not concerned with the variation in the actual procedure, but procedures performed abroad failed to provide the comfort in other areas including surgery facilities, thorough follow-up/ post-op care and recovery instructions - things many people are wiling to sacrifice to save thousands. Be sure to call the doctor’s office many times. Make sure their office staff speaks English (most do) and that you feel your desires are crystal clear. But lacking in post-op recovery and follow-up is a risk. Know your procedure very well. Operations abroad aren’t necessarily risky if the patient is very well informed. In other words, do your homework. In fact, go for extra credit.
