E-mail us at mgluck@thevoguecity.com Consumers tend to make straightforward New Year resolutions: Spend less, save more and pay down debt. This year, it appears retailers want to change just one thing...their bottom line. The tried-and-true methods aren't working anymore as consumers learn to resist the urge to buy, so merchants are starting their own trends. According to Bloomberg, consumer spending stalled in December, with a rise of just 0.1 percent, as Americans took advantage of last...
Click to read more » Through the ages, women have never had a lack of complaints about the inequalities between men and women. Particularly when it comes to romance, dating and age, there's always been a lot to complain about. I wish I could say that I am not about to contribute to that litany of gripes, but oh no, I'm about to jump right in.
So, this whole "Cougar" thing. I wouldn't mind if that term got lost in the Bronx Zoo and was never heard from again. Or was shot...

Il Mulino: A Presidential Pick
Tucked away in the arguably the best neighborhood in unarguably the best city. 17 September 2009
Before Il Mulino drank the fertility wine and sprouted babies everywhere from Cesar’s Palace to Tokyo, there was just one, quaint Il Mulino tucked away in the arguably best neighborhood in the unarguably best city. I visited this Il Mulino on my first trip to New York City, and since then, it has remained amongst my three to five favorite restaurants in the city. And Tuesday, President Obama and President Clinton had lunch at Il Mulino. So don’t take my word.
I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu, and you cannot go wrong. The Parmesan cheese, the snapper and the vino enjoyed for long - literally hours- dinners that leave you feeling warm and giggly… Easy going delicious perfection is Il Mulino, Gotham. As for everywhere else, I’ve yet to test. But it’s expensive, so either muster up the guts to ask for your promotion or give up a Louboutin purchase. It’s worth it. I promise. Note: they have chocolate covered mints upon exiting. Entering Il Mulino feels like traveling to old world Italia. The dim lighting, white tableclothes and cozy seating give you the feeling that you’ve left the hustle of the city for yesteryear. The waitstaff is obviously phenomenal and go the extra mile to make sure your party feels like the only patrons in the restaurant. (For Barack and Bill, however, they actually were the only patrons.) The bruschetta is literally the best I’ve ever had. They soak the tomatoes for three + days. I triple heart their veal Milanese. My ex boyfriend and I used to order our dinner and a rack of lamb to go and then eat it the next night, which is what I recommend. For some reason the rack of lamb is to die for the next day.
Thanks, I was looking for a restaurant for my Friday date with my husband…..
